The long wait for Madhuri Dixit fans is finally over as the actress has confirmed that she will bestarring in the main lead in Dedh Ishqiya, Vishal Bhardwaj’s Ishqiya sequel.
From the time Madhuri has returned back to India, reports were arising that she will most probably be replacing Vidya Balan in the sequel of 2010 hit Ishqiya. But the diva was continously rejecting these reports. Very recently she had a discussion with Vishal Bhardawaj and thus signed the film ‘Dedh Ishqiya’. The sequel too holds Naseer and Arshad in important roles, with Madhuri Dixitplaying the lead female. The movie will be directed by Abhishek Chaubey and produced byVishal.
The diva posted on her Twitter page, “Hey guys, I’m back in action. On set for Star Plus’s ‘Life OK’. I’m doing ‘Dedh Ishqiya’ and ‘Jhalak’..which is around the corner, and many more to come yet! Thanks for all your patience and support.”
The 44-year-old gorgeous actress re-starts her movie and entertainment career, after she returned back to India last year. She has become the brand ambassador of Star Network’s new channel Life OK. She’s also doing many big ads. Very soon she will be judging the new season ofJhalak Dikhla Ja. She has also grabbed the lead role in Dedh Ishqiya at this stage of her life. She is truely an all-rounder, also managing her home and kids very stably.
The original film Isquiya starred Vidya Balan, Naseeruddin Shah, and Arshad Warsi. Madhuri will be replacing Vidya in its sequel ‘Dedh Ishqiya’. Vidya responded in media that she had no problems with the entry of Madhuri in the sequel; in fact she was very happy that she will be taking the lead role.
Well this ‘dhak-dhak’ girl continues as judge for season 5, and her fans will come to see some more dance steps of hers.
