IPL Mumbai Indians skipper Harbhajan Singh and Geeta Basra are all set to plunge their relationship to the next level by tying the knot in September this year. Cricketer Harbhajan Singh had fallen in love with Bollywood actress Geeta Basra, and in spite of their on-and-offs, the couple have managed to go stable in their relationship.
It is reported that the wedding will be held in an extravagant manner, in Yorkshire with flying colors, which will be held first in Geeta’s hometown in England and concluded in Bhajji’s Punjab home.
It’s been since long that the couple had been denying their relationship, though they have been seen together on many occasions.
Geeta and Harbhajan broke up in the middle when they went through a rough patch, but the silent lovers are all geared up to join the matches like Sharmila Tagore-Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi andSangeeta Bijlani-Mohammed Azharuddin, a perfect “cricketer-bollywood beauty connection”.
As per the news, Bhajji has taken Geeta Basra to meet his parents at his hometown. They have appreciated Harbajan’s choice and invited her to a family function. She attended Sandeep Kaur’s wedding (Harbhajan Singh’s sister) in Jalandhar, where she was greeted by his family with open hearts. The whole family from both sides are looking forward eagerly to Harbhajan-Geeta’s marriage.
When asked, Geeta agreed in meeting Harbhajan’s parents in Jalandhar, but it was a family gathering including other guests.
Geeta Basra was also noticed cheering for Harbhajan’s Mumbai Indians team at the Brabourne stadium in Mumbai. She told, “Mukeshji and Nitaji (Ambani) had invited me. I just came up here to applaud for the Mumbai Indians.”
When asked about her relationship status with Harbhajan, ‘The Train’ debutant Basra in a recent interview denied that they both don’t have any marriage plans in the near future, as their main focus is on career right now.
