Actress Genelia Deshmukh is super-excited on getting back to work on television. This will be her first work post her marriage to Ritesh Deshmukh and after her latest Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya movie release.
Instead of jumping to big screen, she will be working on small screen. This will be the second timeGenelia will be acting on television as a mentor to contestants on the ‘The Chosen One’, which is a UTV Stars talent-hunt show.
Her work as a mentor on The Chosen One will be to guide 11 participants, allotting them different tasks, providing better style tips and also take them to shopping.
Genelia had earlier in 2008 hosted Big Switch on Bindass. She tells, “I haven’t yet signed any new film. As my schedule is easy-going, I can commit plentiful time to the show.”
The pretty woman responds, “I’m happy to be back at work again. I’ll be mentoring the girls and will guide the contestants who are interested to walk into the glamour world. I had great fun coming in conversation with the girls. I’ve my share of south as well as Hindi films. So my experiences will be used on this show to help those girls. Their talent and confidence will be a plus-point for them as they will be consistently coming across tests, which they will have to perform bravely and succeed too.”
The talent show will be of 13 episodes in which the contestants aged between 15-24 years will be fighting against each other for the desired title.
The contestants who will be the winner and the runners up will grab the chance to anchor any of the shows for the UTV Bindass channel.
Auditions were going across 5 cities including Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Lucknow and Kolkata. The contestants who have been shortlisted from the auditions will be mentored by Genelia. She will be guiding them regarding the shoot for ad videos, walking the ramp, etc.
Genelia has Rock The Shaadi film with Abhay Deol arriving soon, though till now she hasn’t signed any new film.
