• Russian plane crash kills 31, 12 survive in Siberia

Just after takeoff, a Russian passenger plane crashed in a bad way and burst into flames onMonday April 4 in an oil-producing region of Siberia. This sheer crash killed almost 31 of the 43people on board, as told by the emergency officials.
As per the television footage, the plane was broken into two halves, falling on a snowy field. But only the tail and rear part of the fuselage were noticed. Thirteen people who survived were pulled out of the wreckage, and thus sent straight to hospital by the helicopter, but one died.
It is still not known why the UTair airlines ATR 72 crashed severely with 39 passengers and four crew on board. This is the latest air disaster to ruin the Russia’s safety record.
Yuri Alekhin, head of the regional branch of the Emergencies Ministry, told Russian TV, “Nothing can be explained why the crash took place. We found the ‘black box’ flight recorder. Soon after take-off of over three minutes, contact was lost with the plane.”
UTair told on its website that the twin-engine, turbo-prop plane had been attempting hard to make an emergency landing when it came down 1.5 km (one mile) from the airport in the western Siberian city of Tyumen en route to Surgut, an oil town to the northeast. Five survivors were in a crucial situation who were rushed to the hospital.
Last in September 7, 2011, a Yak-42 plane crashed slammed into a riverbank near the city of Yaroslavl after takeoff, which killed almost 44 people and eliminating the Lokomotiv Yaroslavl ice hockey team. Today’s crash is yet another deadliest air disaster in Russia.
According to Gunther Matschnigg, IATA senior vice-president for safety, “The main problem in Russia was that pilots and ground technicians need to adjust to an expanding number of a highly refined aircraft. The pilot training required quick improvement.”
Hope the survivors are treated soon and they get cured, and there is less number of aircraft crashes in Russia.
