• , Hitesh Sonik to wed in April 2012


    Talented musician Hitesh Sonik and accomplished Sunidhi Chauhan have expressed that they will be marrying next month April.
    The shy Sonik told sources , “At first I was Sunidhi’s fan. Now I am marrying and settling with her.”
    Hitesh knows Sunidhi for 15 years. He told, “She was a bit more than a child when she won the ‘Meri Awaz Suno’ music contest on TV. It was at that time that we became good friends. Steadily with years as she evolved into a bright singer, our friendship flourished into love.”
    He is the grand-nephew of the popular music composer Sonik of the Sonik-Omi pair of the 1960s and 1970s.
                                                  
    Hitesh told proudly, “My grand-uncle Sonik who was blind by birth, first strived to prove himself as a singer. When he lost his voice, he joined together with his nephew to shape the flourishing Sonik-Omi composing duo, who produced us superb evergreen hits as ‘Kanha Re Kanha’ (‘Truck Driver’), ‘Kaan Mein Jhumka Chaal Mein Thumka’ (‘Sawan Bhadon’) and ‘Raaz Ki Baat Keh Doon To’ (‘Dharma’).”
    Earlier Hitesh served Vishal Bhardwaj as an assistant musician in 11 films. He is now assessing to prove himself as an independent composer. He adds, “I have worked on songs in Luv Ranjan’s “Pyaar Ka Punchnaama” and Raghav Dhar’s “My Friend Pinto”. Currently I’m working on the songs of Luv Ranjan’s new film ‘Akaash Vani’.”
    Hitesh expresses shyly that Sunidhi has sung for him. He said, “Only once she has sung my composition in ‘My Friend Pinto’. She is the woman in my life, that doesn’t mean I would want to use a voice as strong as hers till it is required for one of my compositions.”
    Hitesh continues, “Sunidhi is a lovely person with a wonderful personality. First and foremost I love her. She has very well mixed with my family, plus I’m very comfortable with her family too.”
    In spite of both of them having a tight schedule, Hitesh and Sunidhi are taking out time to prepare for the wedding to be held next month.
