Goa is so fortunate to have a Chief Minister like Manohar Parrikar, who appealed to reduce the price for petrol in his state that to with cut off of 11 Rs. From 2nd of April the new price will b applicable to all the people of Goa. It is also declared that VAT on petrol will be decreasing up to 0.1 percent. Once if it starts, Goa will be the only state where the petrol price is this low (55 Rs per Liter) current price is (66 Rs per liter).
Actually the reason behind this decision is to limit the inflation in whole state, as it is well known that two wheelers are the main means of transport in whole state. By this the demand for diesel will also come to a limit for the cars. If we see other side the Central Governmentaimed to increase the taxed on petrol and diesel and it also created an opposition party against the entire automobiles companies.
Slashing down the rates for petrol will be the best option to limit the demand for diesel vehicles. It will be a wise decision for all the petrol owners and theautomobile industry to take this step. Actually, this is possible if other state government also opt to do as “Manohar Parrikar” have done for his state. Central Government has to look after all this in order to implement something new to our country.
