• Students of Engineering College in Kurukshetra design reverse gearbox

The disabled and aged persons have a better technology-driven vehicle to use. Mandeep Dharsul, Dishant ChopraRohtash Bura and Manish Dhanda at Terii Engineering College inKurukshetra who are a group of four final year mechanical engineering students have approached with an innovative idea. The four students’ creativity is included in modifying the gearbox of a motorcycle.
Kurukshetra Engineering College students design reverse gearbox
They together have planned a simple gearbox which can well be suited to the three or four wheeled motorcycle, meant especially for the disabled people. The gear-box is low price ranging between Rs 4,500 to Rs 5,500 and also the technology is easily available in the market. Those people can also shift the vehicle in the opposite direction.
The making of gearbox is the college project for the students. You must be interested in knowing where the gearbox is place. It is positioned besides the engine of the vehicle inside the side paneland it functions through a hand-operated lever.
This gear-box fitted in the three or four wheel motor vehicles is of course an added advantage for the disabled and aged persons.
