Everybody dreams of securing power in Delhi since time immemorial!! But Delhi being Delhi does not give the chance to any weak contender.
As the counting of the results of the three municipal corporations, held on Sunday, is progressing, BJP seems to be leading until now. 33 counting booths have been assigned the crucial job across the city.
Bharatiya Janata Party has bagged quite a major part of the seats, until now, in all the three municipal corporation of Delhi viz. South Delhi Corporation, East Delhi Corporation and the North Delhi Corporation.
The party is ahead in 131 wards out of all the 272 wards in the city. While the other major contender, Congress is leading in 66 seats. Moreover, other parties consisting of the Bahujan Samajwadi Party is leading in 54 seats.
Following is the corporation wise results declared until now get live update of MCD Election 2012 results live.
South Delhi Municipal Corporation:
The BJP is ahead in 41 seats out of the 104 seats ,while the Congress is with a mere 29 seats and others have quite a hand with 32 seats .
East Delhi Corporation:
The corporation has a total of 64 wards . The BJP is leading with30 seats and congress with 11 seats .
North Delhi Corporation:
This corporation is with a total of 104 seats , wherein the BJP is leading in 60 seats and Congress is ahead in 26 seats
The BJP has succeeded in attaining 16 wards out of the 17 results declared by the State Election Commission until now. 55% voting had occurred on Sunday. However only time will tell whom has the ancient city chosen for its governance.
