The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) results are declared on Thursday March 15. The candidates who had appeared for exams can visit the GATE website to know their results.
IIT Delhi zone have topped the list in qualifying for GATE.
A total number of 7,77,134 candidates have registered for GATE 2012 out of which 6,86,614candidates appeared for the exam.

Most prevalent papers
Mostly around 81% of the total number of candidates who appeared for GATE 2012 were specifically from four papers:-
- Electronics and Communication Engineering (1,76,944)
- Computer Science and Information Technology (1,56,780)
- Mechanical Engineering (1,12,320)
- Electrical Engineering (1,10,125)
Gate 2012 Qualifiers filter by Category.
The total number of candidates who have qualified in GATE 2012 are 1,08,526.
- There were 30,294 OBC candidates.
- 23,765 candidates belonged to SC/ST.
- Physically challenged candidates were 447.
Among 1,85,198 female candidates who appeared in GATE 2012, 22,896 candidates have qualified successfully.The candidates require to apply separately to each of the IITs and IISc to seek admission this year.
