• Pakistan President Zardari to meet Manmohan Singh on Sunday


                                        
    Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari will visit India to meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in, onSunday April 8, as announced by his office. The meeting will be held in New Delhi.
    After the meet with Mr Singh, Pak President will be visiting the shrine of a famous Sufi Muslim saint at Ajmer city in north-west Rajasthan state, as informed by his spokesman.
    Mr Zardari will be the first Pakistani president since 2005 to make a visit to India.
    The correspondents told, the visit has come in a way as tensions lessen between nuclear-armed neighbors in the mid of the attempts to alter the mutual trade over the last few months.

    The administration was making arrangements for Mr Zardari’s visit and the entire shrine area was anticipated to be shut down for other devotees at the time of Pak president’s visit, as reported from Ajmer.
    The presidential office earlier on Sunday told that visit to India was on cards for sometime around and the schedule and other details of the trips were worked out.
    Gen Pervez Musharraf was the last Pakistani president to visit India officially in 2005.
    US is encouraging the dialogue among India and Pakistan as it is interested to advance the regional steadiness ahead of the withdrawal of Nato-led forces in Afghanistan, as informed by the correspondents.
