The CBI had appealed that both the accused parents of the victim have destroyed evidence. Investigation agency also wanted Rajesh Talwar, the accused father of the 13 year old, to be directed to apply for fresh bail and had asked for the judiciary custody of Nupur Talwar.
However, the Special Magistrate, Preeti Singh had extended the bail of Rajesh Talwar till April 11.
However, the Allahabad High Court had issued a notice last week to Rajesh Talwar after the CBI had filed an application seeking the cancellation of his bail.
The case has been misguided a couple of times due to the non co-operation of the people involved in it.

    1. We need to have a robust national policy to deal with such types of cases. Politicisation of the cases and the 'it's just another case' attitude of the law enforcement agencies needs to be changed as otherwise it would lead to various negative ramifications going forward - delay in trial hence delay in justice, wastage of tax-payers' hard earned buck in unnecessary delays/re-investigations and hence handover of cases, wastage of Judiciary's time in trials and re-trials and at last but not the least - mock of our judicial system. Are we really serious in delivering justice? Need a re-think ...
