N Srinivasan said, “We confirm that the game’s unity is protected. Strictest possible action will be taken against the cricketers. The moment we see the tapes, we will take strict action whoever may be the player.”
India TV asserted on Monday to have exposed gloomy deals in the IPL and Indian domestic cricket. These practices involved spot-fixing, and dirtiness in player payments and transfers to other franchises. The suspended cricketers were seen on hidden cameras admitting that they were paid much more than what was the official limit for that class of players, which was shown by the channel. The spot-fixing was frequent, not only in low-profile domestic fixtures but also in IPL matches, with women playing a significant part in enticing players.
At the time of local Indore tournament, TP Sudhindra who’s currently presenting Deccan Chargers in IPL 5,had confessed himself of spot fixing, according to the TV channel sting operation.
TP, the highest wicket taker of the Ranji Season 2011-12 playing for MP, also had played 27 1st class matches grabbing 108 wickets at an avg. of 22.61. He was also a part of the ICL and played for the team Delhi Daredevils.
Shalabh Srivastava too admitted his guilt. He was a part of the ICL after which he was picked up by the Kings XI Punjab. He used to be a regular player for the Mohali-based team in 2010 – 2011 but is yet to play a game for KXIP in IPL 5.
Mohnish Mishra is also prohibited. Earlier he was also banned for joining ICL by BCCI but then he returned back to domestic cricket. He was signed up for the IPL by Deccan Chargers in 2010 and in 2011 he got a new contract with the new IPL franchise Pune Warriors India. He had a highly successful first-class season in 2010/11 gathering 718 runs in 9 matches at 59.83 avg. Till now he has so far played 31 first class matches, 1929 runs at 44.86 avg.
Abhinav Bali is representing the Deccan Chargers in IPL 5. He too played for ICL and earlier was included in the Delhi Daredevils team. He has scored well for Delhi and Delhi U-16 team and secured a good practice of playing 13 first class matches. It was way back in 2004 that he had scored his first class debut for Delhi against A.P. He is too exposed and thus prohibited from cricket.
Amit Sharma who is included in IPL-5 KIX Punjab, is yet to play for his team.  In the year 2009 he made his 1st class start against Vidharba and till now completed playing 14 first class matches and 20 List A fixtures. He has gathered 41 wickets at an avg. of 23.75 in the longer forms of the cricket and 21 wickets at 36.85 avg. in List A. He is even suspended on spot-fixing ground.
Let the proper strict action be taken against the five IPL players by BCCI and IPL governing council!

    1. Shame ipl is turning murkier with each year and at this rate every budding young indian cricketers today in india will only think of ipl first where they can make quick money in the least time and will hate to play test cricket.
As it is our second 11 is on the w.i tour and we are loosing badly there.imagine in just a couple of years when we tour australia, england,s.a what a weak test team we could have, not forgetting that just last year we lost all the 4 tests against england and australia.
I.p.l is only meant for promoting cricket to non cricketing nations with its dashing style and should never be allowed to take a pre ponderance over test cricket.
Strange in india ipl players are choosen more than say a good ranji player for a test side.
Look at ravinder bisla who won kkr this ipl,he has not got a take from any ranji side, at least this is what the news paper says.
Could it be the other way round that he will now always like making it ipl a priority to test or any other domestic championship?
Yes in the news channel indian test players talk that playing for the nation comes first and then only the ipl but are they speaking from their heart or just talking like a political diplomat?
