You have probably heard so many rumors about Samsung Galaxy S3 and it seems most of the rumors were true. The wait is finally over as Samsung Galaxy S3 has been finally unveiled at the Samsung Mobile unpacked event, which was held in London, UK last night. With the high end specifications and amazing features, it has already been labelled the world’s best Android phone in the world.
In this post, I’m going to tell you all about the ‘Superphone’ – its price, availability, specifications and features. Why I’m calling it a Superphone? Well, you’ll get to know as you scroll down to read the full post. Samsung Galaxy S3 runs on the latest Android operating system, which we call ‘Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0′. Samsung Galaxy S3 Design And Color
First of all, you would like to see how the beast smartphone looks like, and here is the preview. Samsung Galaxy S3 will be available in two colors -Pebble blue and Marble White, and it’s nicely designed to be curvy, natural to hold and inspired by human (as Samsung would say). Talking about the camera capibilities, 8 Mega Pixel Camera is on the back side which allows you to shoot 1080 HD video. Back camera also has the burst feature using which you can 20 pictures in a jiffy and what is special about it is that it will automatically choose the best shot of the bunch and show it up on the display. The shutter lag has been reduced as well. Samsung Galaxy S3 is equipped with a 2 MP camera on the front.

Samsung Galaxy S3 ships with so many new awesome and impressive features that will blow you mind, including Smart Stay, S Voice, S Beam, Direct Call, Smart Alert, Social tag. Below is the detailed information of each one.
Smart Stay: It’s one of the features I’d love to have in my current phone. Smart Stay feature depends on the front camera. Samsung Galaxy S3 can automatically recognise when you are looking at the phone. The front camera looks deep into your eyes and maintains a bright display for continued viewing pleasure.
S Voice: Finally, an alternative to Apple’ Siri is here. Samsung Galaxy S3 has its own virtual assistant that will perform activities using voice recognition feature. For instance, if you want to shoot a picture, you just need to say ‘launch the camera’ and when you’re ready, just say ‘Cheese’. It will instantly shoot a photo. No more pressing of Hardware button is required. This is something Apple’s Siri can’t do on the iPhone.
S Beam: Sharing your content with friends nearby should be easy, quick, and even fun. S Beam lets you bond instantly so you can transfer documents, contacts, pictures, music, videos, you name it. You just need to put the backs of your phones together, and connect, share and enjoy.
Direct Call: Samsung Galaxy S3 can automatically call the person you want to talk to. For instance, you receive a message on your phone and now you decide to call that person while reading his/her message. Simply lift the phone near your ear and it will automatically find the person in the contacts and dial the number for you. Isn’t it awesome?
Dropbox Storage: Although, Galaxy S3 ships with 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB (Availalbe in the coming weeks). If you are not happy with the storage space it offers, which is highly unlikely, you’ll be happy to know that you’ll be given 50 GB of free Dropbox storage space. Now would anyone care to explain why Samsung chose Dropbox, instead of Google Drive and SkyDrive? Anyways, you can always use your favorite cloud storage service anytime.
Buddy Photo Share: With Buddy Photo Share, it couldn’t be easier to manage and share your photos. The phone recognizes your friends faces and it can share photos with them instantly, using your group profiles for guidance. Now you’re once touch away from sharing with everyone instantly.
Samsung Galaxy S3 Price And Availability
The company has not officially published the price of Galaxy S3 but it’s expected that the starting price of the phone will be undoubtedly more than 500 pound looking at the price of Samsung Galaxy S2 when it was first launched. If you’re in living in UK, you have the opportunity to preorder the new flagship device on these carriers: Three, Vodafone, Orange, O2 and T-Mobile. Among these companies, Three is one of the first few mobile operators that is accepting pre-orders for Samsung Galaxy S3 and selling the superphone for £34 per month on a two year contract.
Samsung US website has published the name of the mobile operators that will be selling the phone. The list includes AT&T, C Spire Wireless, Metro PCS, Sprint, T-Mobile, US Cellular, Verizon. Also, it’s likely that the company will drop down the price of Samsung Galaxy S2 with this launch. As always, Indian customers will have to wait for atleast 2 months to get hands on with the device. Samsung Galaxy SIII is expected to launch in India in June at a price tag of Rs 38,000 approximately.
