Mahindra & Mahindra has made announcement that the pre-booking of XUV500 will begin fromJune 8, 2012. This will be its third phase of sale of vehicles and it won’t be limited to certain cities, unlike the second phase which covered only 19 cities last year.
Bookings will start all over India with heavy demands and the sports vehicle has heightened its level by expanding the capacity to 4,000 vehicles per month. The sales this time is double that of last year.
M&M XUV 500 is considered as one of the best-selling SUV in our country. In only two rounds of booking, it has completed sales of 9 months production capacity, running from the period January 25 to February 2, 2012.
The second phase of M&M came across an awesome 25000+ booking applications from the customers in 19 cities. Among these, only 7,200 received the chance to drive their XUV500 from the showrooms.
According to Pravin Shah, “It has been a superb journey for XUV500 till now and we’ll move forward in our journey with our third phase this year. We are extremely glad to sale this vehicle nation-wide. Requests are pouring for pre-booking in not only from existing 19 cities but also from the cities where the XUV500 was not accessible. As we have now ramped-up the production in a stable manner, we can expand the growth with increased number of demand for the XUV500 all over the country,” who is the chief executive, automotive division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.
M&M’s XUV500 features the first transverse layout, front-wheel drive car which produces 140PS out of 2.2 litre, and mHawk common rail diesel engine.
Gaining accolades across the globe, the third phase of XUV500 will surely cross its pre-booking numbers starting from June 8, than the last year’s second phase.
